About this calculator
How the calculation works (formula & example)
This calculator takes your Start Time, your Billable (Therapy) Minutes, and a target Productivity %, then computes your Total Time Worked and your Perfect end time.
Formula
- Billable minutes = the minutes of therapy you must complete (this is your input).
- Productivity % = Billable minutes ÷ Total time worked × 100.
- Total time worked = Billable minutes ÷ (Productivity % ÷ 100).
- Perfect end time = Start time + Total time worked.
Notes: “Total time worked” includes both billable and non-billable time (documentation, transitions, etc.). If your facility requires unpaid breaks that do not count toward worked time, add those after the computed end time.
Example
- Start time: 8:00 AM
- Billable (therapy) minutes: 306
- Productivity target: 85%
- Total time worked: 306 ÷ 0.85 = 360 minutes (6 hours 0 minutes)
- Perfect end time: 8:00 AM + 6 hr 0 min = 2:00 PM
Calculations are minute-precise. If a decimal minute occurs, the fractional part is truncated (rounded down) so the computed end time may be slightly earlier than the exact target.
